All about the Lisbon Gocar Tours.

Gocars are the most fun way to zip along Lisbon! These electric two-seater cars are equipped with on board interactive GPS, that provides you with itineraries and even tells jokes and stories! Steer away from traditional guided tours and rent a Gocar! We have set itineraries, or you can forgo this an venture out on your own! We offer the following Gocar Tour Options:

Route: Alfama
Availability: daily from 9:30am to 4:30pm

Routes to choose from: Alfama and City Center or Belem
Availability: daily from 9:30am to 3:30pm

Routes to choose from: no need to choose, you can cover all three areas in a 3 hour tour!
Availability: daily from 9:30am to 2:30pm

Routes to choose from: Alfama, City Center and Belem. You can also venture out on your own and go see other areas of the city such as the famous Parque das Nacoes, with a wide variety of riverside cafes and restaurants! A great option if you’ve got a bit of time on your hands!
Availability: daily from 9:30am to 1:30pm

Routes to choose from: A full day will allow for all three routes, as well as some self guided exploring! You can travel to Parque das Nacoes, stop for a leisurely lunch without worrying about time, and even go to areas not included in the standard routes! It’s a great option for those looking for a bit of assistance, yet wanting to explore on their own as well!
Availability: daily from 9:30am to 12:30pm

A special two for one experience! Join us in the afternoon and get a two hour tour for the price of one!
Routes to choose from: Alfama and City Center, or alternatively you can choose the Belem Route!
Availability: daily at 3:30pm or 4:30pm

Come join us for a double adventure experience! A one hour Gocar tour AND a one hour Segway tour! Start your tour atop a speedy Segway! They are quite easy to navigate, and with our expert guides on hand to help, you’ll be a natural in no time! We’ll take you along Alfama, for a true medieval experience! Locations of interest include Se Cathedral and the S Jorge Castle!

Next we’ll get into our fun Gocars for a tour of the center of Lisbon, or Baixa. Explore the spectacular architecture and monuments along the way… our interactive GPS guide will regal you with stories of the history and culture of the city, as well as great places to stop for photos!

Safety Deposit – A `100eur safety deposit is requested prior to beginning your tour and will be returned to you at the end of your tour provided there is no damage to the vehicle

  1. Route 1 Alfama

    Alfama is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Lisbon, filled with history and culture! Zip around narrow winding cobblestone roads and explore amazing buildings, historical monuments and locals going about their daily lives! You’ll frequently find senior citizens at their windows waving as you drive by! Highlights of this route include The Jose Saramago Foundation (Casa do s Bicos), an array of Fado houses including the Fado Museum, The National Pantheon, the flea market (open on Tuesdays and Saturdays), the Church and Convent of the Graca neighborhood, Portas do Sol, Se Cathedral, and one of the best lookout point of the city – Santa Luzia!

  2. Route 2 Lisbon City Center

    This route is dedicated to the center of Lisbon and will take between 1hour, to 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete – you can combine this with the Alfama Route! Zip along downtown Lisbon, or Baixa, as it is also known. This area of the city is a cool mix of old world and new, with a wide variety of monuments and iconic locations including: The Santa Justa Elevator, Rossio Square, Dona Maria II National Theater, Carmo Church, the viewpoint at S. Pedro de Alcantara, the gardens of Principe Real, Amalia Rodrigues Museum and Cais do Sodre with its urban beach!

  3. Route 3 Belem

    If you prefer to forgo the center of Lisbon and Alfama, why not explore lovely Belem in this two hour tour? The neighborhood of Belem is known for its fantastic monuments and of course its delicious pastel de nata (custard tart). If you follow our GPS, you will be led to the Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower and the Discoveries Monument. You can also see an array of museums such as the Electricity Museum, the National Museum of ancient Art, the Cordoaria Nacional, which is a museum rich in maritime history. You can also see the Oriente Foundation (dedicated to the relations between Portugal and Macau). Lastly do not forget to stop for a delicious pastel de nata before heading back!
